In April 2021 I presented a webinar to employees of a financial institution on Human Trafficking and Financial Fraud.
One of the questions asked during the webinar was “why do we not see anything in the news about this issue. So for the last 12 months I have been updating providing links to news articles each month on human trafficking through just the 401 corridor.
These were found with just a general google search and not much effort to find all the news stories. Here is the updated list of the last 12 months.
During the period of May 1st 2021 through to April 30th 2022 Project Recover opened 272 new cases involving a survivor of human trafficking. That is slightly more than 1 new case every single business day.
